I set up Annabel Murphy Art to sell affordable vintage paintings and prints. I have always loved to collect art. Like many of us, I don’t have a huge budget to buy art with but have always wanted a home filled with lots of different paintings and prints.

In my twenties I was fortunate enough to spend months in Italy studying Renaissance art prior to gaining a degree in the history of Fine and Decorative Art and a Masters in Contemporary Art. I have worked for both The Saatchi Gallery and The Tate and I would like to think that this background helps in providing affordable and beautiful works of art for sale. Most of all though, I don't sell anything that I don't love and wouldn't hang in my own home.

The pieces are sourced from auction houses, antiques fairs and house sales across the UK and Europe. The aim is to provide a wide range from decorative sets of prints, to still lives, paintings of animals and the more expressionist and abstract landscapes and townscapes of the 20th century.

At Annabel Murphy Art I believe it’s very important that the works are sold in  frames that suit the piece. Many of the works I sell have been reframed in bespoke hand-painted frames so they are ready to be hung in your home straightaway. If the work is bring sold in it’s original frame I will endeavour to make sure the frame is in reasonable condition but the buyer should be aware that the frame may need some attention.
